Top o’ the morning to ya! We have been having so much fun with our St Patrick’s day projects and recipes this week. Our kitchen is a wreck, I’m still finding flour in my ears, but it’s been a blast! I’ll be bringing all of the fun to you over this next week to get you ready for leprechauns and all things green.
This treat was really easy to make because it required no baking! We had a baby shower last week and we were left with a lot of food, including my favorite little brownie bites. These are the little bites of heaven you can find in a big package at Costco. I think I have seen them at Smith’s too. Honestly, my weakness is for brownies so it was hard not to devour them the first day. I did find a fun way to use them-we created little pots of gold!
I’m new to the video making scene but I did create this video tutorial. It’s hard to do a video one handed while keeping two crazy boys in line too!
If you don’t want to watch the video, here’s what you need:
Frosting (I used buttercream)
Gold Sprinkle Gems
Gold Spray Color
Gold Sparkle Gel Icing
St. Patrick’s Day Sprinkles
Rainbow Printables, print on cardstock and cut out
Create a hole in the center of the brownie bites. Fill each hole with frosting. If it’s too full, smash it and spread it out a little with a spoon or remove the excess. Spray the frosting tops with Gold Spray Color. Around the edges, add the Gold Sparkle Gel Icing. Next, add the gold pearl gem sprinkles and follow that by adding the St. Patrick’s Day Sprinkles. Finally, tape a toothpick to each of the rainbow printables and insert in each brownie bit. Ta-Da! You did! You created a fun treat for your family or party.
