We are getting all geared up for back to school, both at our home and in my classroom. I’ve spent the summer working on lesson plans, schedules, curriculum, and supply lists. I have been getting so excited while printing off decorations for my classroom. So much so that I decided to do a back-to-school dinner with a safari theme to get my own kids excited too. There is something so magical about seeing elephants, zebras, and lions. I was actually inspired specifically by one of my students who likes to carry a stack of animal pictures with him wherever he goes. And the books that they pull off the shelves the most have some sort of animal theme to them as well.
