We are just a little over a week away from Valentine’s Day and there is still time to find some great gifts if you’re a procrastinator like me! I like finding unique and personalized creations to give to my husband, kids, and some family members who happen to have birthdays during the month too. I know I can find something perfect on Zazzle for everyone I need to buy for, including some really fun Valentine’s Day cards!
I absolutely adored these vintage Valentine’s Day cards that I found. Aren’t they adorable? I’m going to be mailing the postcards out to my grandparents, parents (both mine and my in-laws), and some family from out of town. They are really great quality with a nice glossy finish. These are cards you won’t find in the grocery store! And they were a great price too at just under $1.00 each with the Valentine’s Day sale. You can customize these cards with your name if you’d like. I left them blank.
For my boys, I thought it would be fun to find something they can hang up in their bedroom. They both love their superheroes! I happened to find this “Avengers” poster and snagged it up! It’s nice and big, the perfect wall hanging for two little boys.
But my favorite gift was a customized tie that I made for my brother. This is one of those gifts that actually brought my brother to tears, a hard thing to do as he’s a tough cookie! He is a police officer and in the military. My boys are so proud of him, just as I am. My little brother has a birthday right before Valentine’s Day so he gets extra spoiled! But, like most of the men in my life, he isn’t easy to buy for.
When I saw this tie, I knew it was the perfect gift for him. It’s absolutely perfect for anyone who works in the police department. Because it has the American flag on it too, it also represents my brother’s service in the military. The thin blue line is classy, an easy blend into the flag. And the best part? I was able to customize it by adding whatever words I wanted. I chose to write “Uncle (His name), Our Hero”. The writing is subtle but meaningful.
My boys and I couldn’t wait to give him the tie, so he opened the gift at a family party last week. When he first saw it, he loved it! Just the design made a statement. But as soon as pointed out the personalized message on it, my hardcore brother teared up! He was speechless. And that’s saying something.
I had so much fun making these gifts that I’m going to be making more for other events and family members! It’s so fun shopping for other people but personalizing them is even better.
And, don’t forget to grab something for your home! I found this “To the Moon and Back” poster for my Valentine’s Day display. I just need to find a snazzy frame and I’m set!
