If you’ve been waiting for “Incredibles 2”, here are some fun activity and coloring pages to keep you busy until you get to the movie theaters to see it with your family! The Incredibles family proves that the family that saves together, stays together!
I think I’m safe in saying that I’m not the only one who has been waiting years to see more of the Incredibles! Especially to see Jack Jack and more of his powers. Finally, the wait is over and we can all enjoy another Incredible adventure. I’m really looking forward to my kids seeing it with me. When the first movie came out, my husband and I were dating and then married the following year. Now we have two little boys to hang with!
If you and your family are fans, read on for our family review and for some “Incredibles” coloring and activity pages.
Like so many, we were “incredibly” excited when we heard they were making a second movie. Every time a commercial with the trailer came on, my boys would ask “When does that come out, Mom?” We finally had the chance to see it and it did not disappoint. Here’s why we loved it.
The Incredibles Humor Is Still the Same
One of the reasons the first “Incredibles” was so good was because it had humor that both kids and adults would enjoy (something Pixar is really good at!). That humor is still there. There are some lines that Edna says, simple lines, but the way that she says them are hilarious, just like in the first movie. There are plenty of fun moments like that to keep everyone chuckling throughout the movie.
Jack-Jack Is A New Favorite
We had to wait until the very end of the first movie to see Jack-Jack’s powers. And his powers continued to be a surprise as the movie evolved. He was definitely a comedic highlight. My kids laughed the hardest at all of his scenes. It was particularly funny to see how Bob handled the discovery of his powers. Jack-Jack has personality oozing out of him. And just when you think you have seen it all, he surprises you! Jack-Jack was a favorite for my kiddos.
The Incredibles Family Proves That the Family That Saves Together Stays Together
I love having a movie that shows a family working together. And even though they are super heroes, the Incredibles are still a normal family with similar problems to the rest of us. Bob has a moment when Dash asks him to help with his math homework. I think many parents appreciated hearing his frustration over not understanding how they teach math these days! It also shows the struggle that parents have to undertake when working, especially what happens when mom goes off to work. It shows that the struggle is real, no matter who you are, but that working together as a family keeps you unified. For the Incredibles, it’s saving the day. And for the rest of us, it’s conquering the every day battles we face. The point of it all is that we can do it!
Be sure to add “Incredibles 2” to your weekend to enjoy as a family. It will not disappoint!
