I can’t believe Christmas is next week! My well thought out plans remained exactly that-well thought out but not implemented. Now, I’m in a rush! But I love being able to sit down and think about what Christmas really means. I was happy that my friend asked me to do this for her. It gave me a chance to stop and ponder. This poem is really beautiful!
This is the poem of the Innkeeper. We are always trying to find ways to remember the real reason for Christmas and I love the messaged this has. Do we have enough room for Him? My friend was going to give this handout to the ladies in her church group, along with a key. I believe she took her inspiration from this post at The Idea Room.
I created two versions, both similar, but easy to print for a crowd with different font styles. You can print them as 5×7’s with two to page or smaller with four to a page. It depends on the size of group you are working.
These would be great for visiting teaching this month too! I would recommend printing them on cardstock (a lighter cardstock because the heavier kind doesn’t generally work with printers at home). You could also send these to a print and copy shop if you don’t want to worry about it.
I found these really cute keys to use with the handout. They come as a set of 7 for $9.88. I love that they are different! The idea of the key is to put it on your key ring to remember Christ in your daily routine. Again, another great gift idea for neighbor’s, church groups, etc.
