Use these printables to help keep you organized this year as a room mom!
This year, I found myself volunteering to be room mom for both of my kids classes. It’s completely insane! I found myself at Back-to-School Night looking at the blank spots on the sign-up sheets and I couldn’t help myself. I love helping out and I really enjoy being a part of my kids’ classrooms. Now that my youngest is also at the same school, it’s even more exciting!
In one of the classes, I do have a co-parent which is very helpful. Between the two of us, I will have things covered and I should be able to leave her in charge on party days so I can go to the other class.
The biggest thing I’ve found from being a room mom in the past is organization. If you start planning soon enough and get everything together with plenty of time before events and parties, there really is no need to worry.
I shared a list of tips in this article here but for now, I’m focused on the organization aspect.
I tried putting everything in my planner for class parties, from activities to supplies to volunteers. But it quickly became messy and hard to keep straight!
This year, I decided I needed to create my own sheets to keep it all straight. So I created these printables to help keep everything together. I have a page for each party, a page for contact info, teacher expectations, and a page for door decorating ideas each month (I’m in charge of doing that for one my teachers).
Just print it off and stick it in a folder to keep everything all together. It also works well if you’re meeting with other room moms or the teacher too!
It’s a pdf format so just download and print.
