Hey everyone! I am here this week to bring a you a tutorial about something new that I just learned in Photoshop. It’s a great thing to know, especially if you’re into creating cards and announcements as I have been lately. We’re going to learn how to make an outline of shape.
For some youth in my neighborhood, I created a little Thanksgiving gift this week and wanted to make a tag to go along with it. As I began decorating the tag, I realized it needed a little something extra. But I didn’t want to throw on some random border. Instead, I wanted to continue with the continuity of the shape of the tag and decided to create an outline.
Here’s my tag as it is without a border:
Go up to Edit>Stroke. Set the width to whatever pixels you’d like, depending on how thick you would like it, and select the color. Uncheck preserve transparancy.
