Homemade Sloppy Joe Meatballs

A combination of two favorite comfort foods-sloppy joes and meatballs!

Ingredients

  • MEATBALLS:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • canola oil
  • flour
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 can Manwich Bold Sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, minced onions, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Roll beef mixture into one inch balls and place on baking sheet.
  3. Pop in freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove meatballs from freezer and roll in flour.
  5. Heat canola oil in a skillet. Add 1/3 of meatballs and brown on each side.
  6. Place browned meatballs in 9x13 baking sheet.
  7. Brown the rest of the meatballs.
  8. Mix Manwich Bold, brown sugar, and diced onion in small bowl.
  9. Pour sauce over meatballs.
  10. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes until sauce is bubbly and meatballs are cooked through.
  11. Serve with mashed potatoes!
