An easy and delicious lemonade that packs all the flavors of summer in one glass!
I am so excited that the weather is warming up! There are projects to do, hikes to take, family outings to enjoy… Summer is just as busy as the school year, don’t you think? And I find that when I’m busy, I tend to forget to take care of myself, especially when it comes to drinking enough water. I’m particularly guilty of this when it comes to my relaxation time; I tend to go for something other than water when I’m relaxing. I’m not alone in this, right? Thankfully, I’ve found the perfect drink to relax with that is filled with yummy flavors and gives me a healthier option. The secret ingredient? The new Dasani Sparkling! It’s the star of this Apple Berry Sparkling Lemonade.
The new Dasani Sparkling comes in these sleek and modern cans. They are relaunching favorite flavors at Walmart and they are heavenly! Dasani is a healthier option without skimping on flavor and that’s exactly why I’m using it for this drink recipe. Dasani has always been a brand I can trust for water and it’s a brand I can trust with their new sparkling.
Ready for the recipe? It couldn’t be easier and it uses fresh fruit!
The cast of characters: 2 apples, a couple of lemons, 1/2 lb strawberries, 6 oz raspberries, and a can of Dasani Sparkling in Berry Flavor. There is something so good about adding that extra kick of sparkle to a glass of water or juice and that is what makes this lemonade perfect!
Add your sliced and peeled apples, hulled strawberries, and raspberries to your blender. And just a side note: if you are not a fan of the seeds from the berries, you can remove the seeds before adding them to the mixture. Use a sieve and put the raspberries inside. Use the back of a spoon to mash up the raspberries to remove the juice and leave the seeds behind in the sieve.
Add in one cup of cold water. Blend it up until it’s nice and smooth. If you like it chunky, it’s up to you!
Once the fruit is blended, add in your cooled simple syrup. This simple syrup is 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar. Boil the two together until the sugar dissolves and remove from heat. Let it cool before adding it to the fruit. Also add in 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (it takes about 2 lemons).
Now blend that up too.
Finally, add in 1 can of Dasani Sparkling. Add it slowly because it is carbonated and it will fizz up. Blend this up as well.
Now, you can stop there because it tastes amazing! Or, you can add more Dasani Sparkling. I poured my mixture into a glass about halfway and filled the rest of it up with more sparkling water. I’ve found that the ratio of sparkling water is a taste thing. My husband likes more and I like a more even balance between the mixture and sparkle. It’s completely customizable!
To add that extra touch, dice up some apples and throw them in with some extra berries. They float on the top! It’s so much fun.
Finally, add a wedge of lemon and a fun straw.
This is the perfect relaxation drink. We had some family over the other night, enjoying a warm and refreshing evening, and everyone had a glass of this Apple Berry Sparkling Lemonade in hand. The kids loved it too!
But my favorite part of this drink is that is screams “Mom Time!” It’s what I want in hand when I sit back after a busy day and take some time for myself. And mommy needs that time to stay sane, trust me!
You can find the Dasani Sparkling in their sleek cans and all of their flavors at your local Walmart. Be sure to grab some the next time you are there!
How do you like relax after a busy day?
